Designing a strong system is like creating a quilt. Each square has a purpose in the larger design, and the degree to which it fits within the whole while still maintaining its individual function determines the overall success of the quilt.
Similarly to the quilt, an experience is reliant on individual patterns to provide functional contributions while still maintaining fidelity to the broader set of behaviors introduced across the experience from end to end.
This work requires the foundation of a framework, an understanding of the purpose of your patterns and rigor in how you apply and scale your experience.
